BAC administers arbitration in disputes arising from transactions at the Commodity Exchange in Novi Sad. The Commodity Exchange is well known for its trade in agricultural commodities, but it has recently broadened the scope of its activities into trading in metals, ores, alloys and energy-generating products.<\/p>\n
The Rules of the Belgrade Arbitration Center on Commodity Arbitration (the Belgrade Rules on Commodity Arbitration) were adopted on 26 March 2018, and started to apply on 21 June 2021.<\/p>\n

Arbitrators are appointed from the list of arbitrators qualified for resolving commodity disputes kept by BAC. The arbitrators on the list have completed a course on commodity trading organized by the Commodity Exchange in Novi Sad. The arbitrators must remain impartial and independent from the Commodity Exchange, the parties in dispute, their counsel and the subject-matter of the dispute.<\/p>\n
