Vis Moot), ICC Young Arbitrators Forum and Under 40 Section of Serbian Arbitration Association have organized a conference in Belgrade &#8211; <em>Debating hot topics in International Arbitration<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This conference was<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/49cms-1001-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2339 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/49cms-1001-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/49cms-1001-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/49cms-1001-2-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/49cms-1001-2-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/49cms-1001-2.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> organized in the premises of CMS Belgrade in a fresh debate form with two panels focused on the hot topics in international arbitration.<\/p>\n<p>The first panel discussing the topic of <em>Transparency vs. Confidentiality <\/em>was moderated by <strong>Florian Ettmayer<\/strong> (Baker McKenzie Vienna) while <strong>Ivana Blagojevi\u0107<\/strong> (ICC International Court of Arbitration) and <strong>Marija \u0160\u0107eki\u0107<\/strong> (WilmerHale London) offered their opposing views on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>The second panel dealing with the question whether <em>Third Party Funding and Security for Costs<\/em> should be mandatory or exceptional was moderated by <strong>Sara Pendjer<\/strong> (Stankovic &amp; partners and co-chair of under 40 section of Serbian Arbitration) with inputs from panelist <strong>Giulio Palermo<\/strong> (Archipel Geneva) and <strong>Alina Tugearu<\/strong> (Zamfirescu Racoti &amp; Partners Bucharest).<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/62cms-1391-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2344 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/62cms-1391-3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/62cms-1391-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/62cms-1391-3-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/62cms-1391-3-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/62cms-1391-3.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The conference was opened by Co-Chair of Under 40 Section of Serbian Arbitration Association <strong>Nenad Kova\u010devi\u0107<\/strong> (CMS Belgrade) who also gave concluding remarks at the end of the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Judging from the number of guests present and the reaction to this concise and efficient debate format, the audience was enjoying the discussion.<\/p>\n<p>Under 40 Section of Serbian Arbitration Association will continue to further promote arbitration and organize similar events in the future.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/43cms-1961-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2345\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/43cms-1961-4-1024x455.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"669\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/43cms-1961-4-1024x455.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/43cms-1961-4-300x133.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/43cms-1961-4-768x341.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.arbitrationassociation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/43cms-1961-4.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 6 April 2019, as part of the Belgrade Arbitration days (Belgrade Arbitration Conference and Belgrade open pre-moot in preparation for the Vienna Willem C.
