30 Sep Presented “Gašo Knežević” Awards for the best student papers
The University of Belgrade Faculty of Law and Serbian Arbitration Association have jointly organized traditional essay prize contest in honor of late Professor Gašo Knežević. After evaluating the submitted essays, the jury decided to award the first prize to Marko Došlić, for a paper on a topic “Settlement Facilitation by the Arbitral Tribunal – Boosting Efficiency or Endangering Due Process Rights”, the second prize to Dušan Jablan, for a paper „What’s CISG Got To Do With It – Applicability of CISG To Arbitration Agreements”, and third prize to Nina Rašljanin, for a paper „Emergency Arbitration – Is the Game Worth the Candle“. All recipients are students or former students of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law. The members of the jury were arbitration experts who are members of the Arbitration Association and its Board, as well as members of the Board of the Belgrade Arbitration Center. The first place will be awarded with a cash prize, and the Knežević family decided to reward the second and third place with a trip to Rovinj (Croatia) due to the quality of the papers and the minor difference between the first three places.
